The BIOS password is kept in the board chip so it would be kept secured for users protection even if other users would try removing the battery or draining out the machine.
As the hardware manual implies on page 24 " If you forget the password, there is no service procedure to resetthe password. The system board must be replaced for a scheduled fee." "... , neither Lenovo nor Lenov authorized service technicians provide any services to reset either the user or the master HDP, or to recover data from the hard disk drive."
Policy guideline here in our community forums would limit any sharing of information regarding any ways to circumvent it as follows:
" No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to subvert safety measures. Nor shall any posts provide descriptions to the location of, nor direct links to, content related to these topics."
I hope you would remember the originally placed password having in mind if upper case or any special characters were used.
